Riding Update – Weeks of September 1 – 14, 2018
The end of the summer break has been very busy with meetings and events as I prepare to head back to Ottawa for the Fall Session.
On September 1, I was pleased to attend the kickoff of this year’s Tour of Alberta, a bicycle race which departed from Jasper. Congratulations to Evan Huffman for winning Stage One and the overall race. The following day, I attended an event at the Cadomin Legion before heading home to enjoy the rest of the long weekend.
Much of the first week was spent in Winnipeg for the Conservative Caucus Retreat getting ready for the upcoming fall session. Our Conservative Party is prepared to stand up for taxpayers and promote policies that create jobs and stimulate the economy. It’s going to be a busy fall but Conservatives will be standing up for taxpayers, promoting policies that create jobs and stimulate the economy. I spent the second week of September back in the riding. I made a trip down to Rocky Mountain House for a meeting with their Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP). I also toured a new manufacturing facility in Peers.
The entire summer break was full of meetings with constituents and attending events across our beautiful riding of Yellowhead. As Parliament resumes on September 18, I will return to weekly updates. I look forward to bringing all of the concerns I have heard this summer to the House of Commons.
