Riding Update – Week of April 17, 2017

On Tuesday, I was in Vancouver where I met with representatives of the Rocky Mountaineer Train where I was involved with the 2017 launching of the Rocky Mountaineer Tourism Train.

Later that morning, I met with Conservative members in the riding of Nanaimo-Ladysmith followed by an afternoon meeting with Conservative members in the riding of Victoria. That evening I returned to Yellowhead riding.

On Wednesday, I gave some opening remarks at a showing of Corner Gas: The Movie at Continuing Care in Edson for National Film Day. That evening, I attended an open house and public information meeting for the Canyon Creek Pumped Hydro Project in Hinton. After that, I delivered more opening remarks for a National Film Day viewing of Into the Forest at the Hinton Municipal Library.

On Thursday, I visited grade six students at Pine Grove Middle School in Edson. The following day I met with grades three, four, five, and six students at Yellowhead Koinonia School in Edson.  Later, I met with Mayor Herb Castle of Grande Cache and then on to Grande Prairie for more meetings, followed by a couple of days visiting friends.

I will be in the riding next week, as Parliament will still be on recess.  My next update will be on my travels throughout our beautiful riding of Yellowhead.
