Riding Update – Week of January 20, 2017
As many of you may know, the House of Commons will reconvene from the winter recess on January 30th. I thoroughly enjoyed the holidays and spending time with my family.
I spent most of the month in my Yellowhead riding, meeting with constituents and local representatives. Earlier in January, I attended Drayton Valley’s Town Council Meeting, and an event in Rocky Mountain House. I also met with Canadian National Railway representatives and Transport Canada officials.
In the following week, I visited students at HW Pickup Junior High School in Drayton Valley, enjoyed a tour of the Palisades Stewardship Education Centre in Jasper National Park to learn about the programs they offer to educate students about our beautiful outdoors, met with constituents, and visited Bench Creek Brewing.
Later this week, I held more meetings in my office, and recorded various radio messages and greetings. Later I attended a special function in Hinton.
I will be returning to Ottawa next week and then attending National Caucus meetings in Quebec City the latter half of the week. I will provide regular updates once Parliament resumes. I look forward to the coming session and ensuring your voice is heard in Ottawa.
