Canada Summer Jobs 2016
December 07, 2015
OTTAWA – Jim Eglinski, Member of Parliament for Yellowhead, is inviting local employers to apply for funding through the ‘Canada Summer Jobs program 2016’ to help create jobs for students next summer.
“Every year, we try to focus on local priorities, while achieving tangible results for both students and their communities through this federal initiative,” said MP Eglinski.
The Canada Summer Jobs initiative provides funding to not-for-profit, public-sector and small private-sector employers with 50 or fewer employees. It creates summer job opportunities for young people 15 to 30 years of age who are full-time students intending to return to their studies in the next school year.
The application period for Canada Summer Jobs 2016 will be from January 4, 2016 to February 26, 2016. Once the website is open, employers can apply online at www.servicecanada.gc.ca/csj or print off an application form from the website. Applications are available at any Service Canada Centre.
“Through Canada Summer Jobs, we are helping young Canadians get the skills and experience they need to get jobs now and in the future,” concluded Eglinski
