Call for Proposals to 2016 Social Development Partnership Program
September 30, 2016
OTTAWA: Jim Eglinski, Member of Parliament for Yellowhead, is pleased to invite local not-for-profit organizations to apply for funding through the 2016 Social Development Partnership Program – Disability Component (SDPP-D). This program provides $11M annually in grant and contribution program funding to organizations to support projects intended to improve the participation and integration of people with disabilities in all aspects of Canadian society with respect to social inclusion.
“I believe everyone deserves opportunities to participate in society on an equal basis,” said MP Eglinski.
The focus of this call for proposals will be innovation. Funded projects will be required to identify, develop and test/pilot new promising practices and tools that promote the social inclusion of people with disabilities. The practices and tools may be new or build on existing programs and services.
“This call for proposals provides an important opportunity to make sure that all residents in our riding of Yellowhead, regardless of their abilities, feel welcome in their workplaces and communities. That is why I strongly encourage eligible organizations to submit a proposal for this funding,” concluded MP Eglinski.
The deadline to apply is November 3, 2016.
