Personal Statement on PM’s Trip to India
February 23, 2018
OTTAWA: I was very disappointed and alarmed to see our Prime Minister associating with Mr. Jaspal Atwal.
Mr. Atwal and his terrorist group attacked the Indian cabinet minister, Malkiat Singh Sidhu, in Gold River, British Columbia, while I was in charge of that detachment.
I was there to assist Minister Malkiat Singh Sidhu after the shooting. The RCMP spent thousands of hours investigating this terrorist attack.
Mr. Prime Minister, as James Baldwin said: “It is certain, in any case, that ignorance, allied with power, is the most ferocious enemy justice could have.”
