June 5, 2019

OTTAWA: Jim Eglinski, Member of Parliament for Yellowhead, wishes to inform constituents that the Department of Employment and Social Development is providing funding to organizations to deliver a range of activities that help youth overcome barriers to employment and develop a broad range of skills and knowledge to participate in the current and future labour market.

The application period is open from June 3 to July 26, 2019.  Funding projects are scheduled to begin on April 1, 2020.

The projects can be:

  • National: activities must take place in three or more provinces or territories
  • Regional: activities can be provincial, territorial, or local in scope, but limited to one province or territory.

YESS will provide up to $600M to organizations over three years.

“This will help youth overcome barriers to employment and I encourage organizations in the Yellowhead, to apply,” concluded MP Eglinski.
