October 1st is National Seniors Day
September 28, 2017
OTTAWA: MP Eglinski, Member of Parliament for Yellowhead, wishes to acknowledge this Sunday, October 1st as National Seniors Day.
“I want to thank all our seniors, especially in my riding, who have helped build our country and are valuable contributors to our communities, workplaces and society,” said MP Eglinski.
Seniors play an important role in our families, communities and workplaces. As the Member of the Parliamentary All-Party Seniors Caucus and being a senior myself, I am convinced that a high quality of life for seniors requires helping them stay active, engaged and informed.
“There are many ways for individuals, community groups, schools, employers and families to celebrate National Seniors Day—whether you are participating in an event or simply meeting a senior for coffee, show them you care,” concluded MP Eglinski.
