Call for Applications – Veteran and Family Well-Being Fund

May 4, 2018

OTTAWA:  Jim Eglinski, Member of Parliament for Yellowhead, is pleased to inform residents that Veterans Affairs Canada has launched a call for applications for the Veteran and Family Well-Being Fund.

“Our veterans deserve the utmost respect for their service to our country and the sacrifices that many have made in that endeavor. It is the responsibility of the federal government to care for Canada’s veterans and their families,” stated MP Eglinski.

The fund will provide grants and contributions to private, public or academic organizations to conduct research and implement initiatives and projects that support the well-being of Veterans and their families.

The fund can support a wide range of projects, such as suicide prevention research, an initiative that helps homeless Veterans find housing, or any innovative projects targeting veterans. Eligible organizations include non-profits, for-profits, education institutions, and social service groups.

The deadline to submit an application for 2018 is June 15.

“I encourage all interested organizations to share their innovative ideas and submit their applications online,” concluded MP Eglinski.
