Enabling Accessibility Fund – Small Projects
July 19, 2018
OTTAWA: Jim Eglinski, Member of Parliament for Yellowhead, is pleased to inform residents that the federal government is accepting applications for small projects under the Enabling Accessibility Fund (EAF) through Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).
The call is open to not-for-profit and Indigenous organizations, small businesses, and municipalities and territorial governments.
Successful applicants can receive grant funding of up to $100,000 for the capital costs of construction, renovation and/or retrofit activities in workplaces and communities, as well as the provision of accessible technologies in one of two streams:
- Workplace stream: facilities where people with disabilities work, or could work in the future; and,
- Community Accessibility stream: community spaces where programs and/or services are offered, or will be offered, to people with disabilities.
The deadline to apply is July 26, 2018.
“This Enabling Accessibility Fund provides an important opportunity to make sure that all residents in our riding of Yellowhead, regardless of their abilities, feel welcome in their workplaces and communities. I strongly encourage interested organizations to submit a proposal for this funding,” concluded MP Eglinski.
